Become A Designer
Please read through completely including the section 'How Paper Craft Kits Works' before applying for a Designer position. By applying to become a Designer at Paper Craft Kits you are agreeing to our Terms & Conditions and will be checking a box on the application to confirm this. Please email any questions you may have before applying.
Paper Craft Kits Designer Terms:
Paper Craft Kits agrees to pay a royalty of 60% to the designer for the sale of all Submitted Digital Products produced by the designer on the 15th of the following month for sales from the previous month into their PayPal account. E.g. any sales made in June will be paid on or about the July 15.
In the event that there is a customer charge back to the Designer, Paper Craft Kits will deduct the amount of the charge back from the Designers current royalty payment.
Paper Craft Kits reserves the right to refuse to represent and/or display any item or description deemed unsuitable for display at the sole discretion of the Company. All content must be family friendly.
All Submitted Digital Products must be created by the Designer. Paper Craft Kits will not knowingly accept any work that is in violation of any copyright, trademark or patent.
Designers may sell the same products on Designer's own personal site, or on eBay, or other auction sites or through other channels. The Artist agrees that the sale prices remain the same as the posted price at Paper Craft Kits.
Submitted Digital Products will be sold and downloaded by the purchaser from the Paper Craft Kits Web site at the time of sale.
The Designer is responsible for pricing of all Submitted Digital Product(s) posted on the site.
Paper Craft Kits is responsible for all maintenance, promotion and modification of the Web site and shall have the right to make any such modifications deemed necessary.
If at any time the Designer wishes to leave Paper Craft Kits and close their store, the Designer will give Paper Craft Kits 14 days notice. All products will immediately be deactivated but will remain in the Designers account for 30 days to fulfill past and current customer downloads. Once the 30 day period has expired the files will be removed from the Paper Craft Kits server.
Paper Craft Kits will send out weekly customer emails and manage all customer service.
Paper Craft Kits is NOT responsible for paying the taxes owed to governments worldwide on Designers' earnings. Our relationship with each Designer is on a subcontractor basis and it is up to each Designer to declare their earnings from this Web site to the appropriate government department.
In the event of a system failure, loss of access, loss of products or deterioration of service we shall take all reasonable steps to restore or rectify the service. You, the Designer, shall NOT be entitled to any form of compensation. However we will work with you to try and rectify any issues.
Paper Craft Kits Designer Product Guidelines:
All product previews must be 500x500 pixels and consist of a title and photograph of the completed downloadable product, with the exception of digital elements, templates and stamps.
All products must be created conforming to a high quality level of 300dpi. All printable sets must be made to fit standard Lettter size (8 1/2x11 inches) or A4 Paper/Card (21x29.7 cm).
All uploads must be in .zip format and no bigger than 20MB.
You may NOT advertise your Web site in your listings. You may include a text document or image in your product folder to mention your Web site.
Each item description must state graphics © followed by the name of the artist from where you obtained the graphics. No credits will mean the product is deleted and you will be asked to re submit the product with the correct information. Credit MUST also be provided if using another designer's template.
You MUST know were the images you are using have come from. If you don't then please do NOT use them. No Poser artwork, public domain images or images from CD's (Dover Images are OK).
You will set your own price but the minimum price of any product must be at least $1.00
You shall not display any other content which you know or ought to know infringes the intellectual property rights of a third party.
You shall not display any content which is offensive, obscene or defamatory.
You may run sales on your products but it may not be more then 10 products at one time, no more than 50% off and not longer than 1 week at a time. If you wish to run a sale just let us know and we will set it up for you..
Creating Your Account:
IMPORTANT: When creating your account it asks for your first name and last name. If you want to be listed under your company name, or a different Designer name, please put that information in the first and last name boxes. This is the name that will show up under the Designers List for customers to select and this is also the name that will be watermarked on all your product photos.
How Paper Craft Kits Works:
Once you sign up for your account you will receive an email that your account needs to be approved. If we are not familiar with your work we will request a sample of your work and/or a Web address where we can view some of your designs.
Once your account is approved you will receive another email and can log in to the Designers Area and begin stocking your store. Simply select the Upload Products link in the top menu. It will bring you to the first page of adding a new product to your store.
Select browse and choose a picture from your computer. Check that you agree to our T&C and select Upload
Enter the description. Please try to be as descriptive as possible so the customer knows exactly what is included.
Enter your price. If it is a freebie, check the Product is Free box. Select Continue.
Now it's time to upload the products .ZIP file. Please review the description to make sure it is correct. Select the Browse button and choose the product .ZIP file. Select Upload. The file will begin uploading.
Once the upload is finished your product will go into Waiting for Approval mode and you will be asked if you wish to add another product. Continue with the upload process to add more products to your store.
You won't see your product in the store immediately. It must be approved before it appears. Once your product has been approved you will receive an email containing a link to the item in the store.
You will have a list of your products in your designers area and as sales are made it will register in your account. You can log in anytime to check your sales.
You will not be able to edit your product once it is submitted. Any editing will need to be sent to us to do. This is done for security reasons and to prevent anything unsuitable being posted on the site.
You may run sales on your products on not more than 10 products at any one time, no more than 25% off and not longer than one week at a time. If you wish to run a sale just let us know and we will set it up for you.
From time to time Paper Craft Kits will run a site wide sale. Sales can help promote the site and bring in new customers. The sales will never be more than 30% off. We will always contact all designers a week prior to one been run.
